Hi Delta and MICS Join Forces to Strengthen the Manufacturing Industry in South Holland
On February 20, in Schiedam, André Boer (Director of Hi Delta) and Niels Langenhuizen (Director of SDK Vastgoed and MICS Developer) officially launched a promising collaboration in the mechatronics sector. For the Mechatronics Innovation Campus Schiedam (MICS), this partnership presents an excellent opportunity to further establish itself as an innovation hub in the region. The collaboration was formalized during the monthly Break to Innovate networking event on campus.
A Valuable Partnership
The networking organization Hi Delta strengthens South Holland’s manufacturing industry by connecting businesses, knowledge institutions, and government entities. For the Mechatronics Innovation Campus Schiedam (MICS), this partnership is an important step in expanding its role as an innovation hub in the region and contributing to a strong mechatronics sector. MICS provides Hi Delta with the necessary space for innovation, talent, and collaboration, enabling businesses and educational institutions to thrive.
For MICS, a strong ecosystem—centered around talent development, innovation, and collaboration—is key to success. A solid network is crucial in this regard. Hi Delta facilitates these connections, making this partnership a significant step forward.
“As the central platform for South Holland’s technology sector, Hi Delta has an extensive and relevant network that we are eager to support. Together, we provide access to valuable expertise, technology, and talent,” says Niels Langenhuizen (Director of SDK Vastgoed and MICS Developer). “The unique South Holland ecosystem, with its strong focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration, seamlessly connects at MICS. Through this partnership, Hi Delta and MICS create even greater opportunities for the manufacturing industry.”
Hi Delta Partners Based at MICS
The Mechatronics Campus is currently under development and is set to become the hotspot for the mechatronics industry in South Holland. Several Hi Delta partners, including Metrohm, Boers & Co, and FMI, are already part of MICS. Thanks to the close proximity of knowledge, talent, and innovation, MICS and Hi Delta are working together to ensure the continued growth and success of the South Holland manufacturing industry.
André Boer (Director of Hi Delta) states: “Hi Delta’s mission is to better connect companies in the manufacturing industry and enhance their collective potential. We do this by fostering collaboration between knowledge institutions, government bodies, and regional networks. This includes networking events, knowledge-sharing sessions, company visits, and major industry events such as ZIE 2025 on March 27 at the Van Nelle Fabriek in Rotterdam. Together with MICS, we contribute to positioning South Holland as a leader in the technology sector. A partnership with an innovation campus like MICS is essential to achieving this goal.”
