Metrohm opens Omega building at MICS: Behind the scenes

During the festive opening, Metrohm offered its network an exclusive tour of their brand-new building at the Mechatronics Innovation Campus Schiedam (MICS).

About Metrohm

Metrohm develops advanced chemical analysis instruments used worldwide — by customers including Intel, Samsung, and Rolls-Royce. At their Schiedam facility, around 100 employees focus on innovation, production, and development.

A future-proof facility

This aftermovie gives you a glimpse of the bright, open, and future-proof building — designed with ample space for growth and to attract top technical talent. It’s a great example of how the MICS ecosystem enables companies to collaborate, innovate, and further develop their craftsmanship.

Key themes highlighted

You’ll also hear more about the importance of collaboration, technical talent, and a strong regional manufacturing industry. And of course, you’ll see how the building was officially opened — by CEO Timoer Frelink, Councillor Antoinette Laan, and Metrohm’s youngest employee, Angela Joosse. Congratulations once again, Metrohm!

Looking ahead: building Atlas

As Niels mentions in the video, we now set our sights on the next development at MICS: building Atlas. A contemporary industrial space of 24,000 m², offering shared facilities such as meeting rooms and hospitality areas — and flexible units in various sizes, fully customisable to meet your needs. More updates coming soon!
