Boers & Co moves to the Atlas building on the Mechatronica Innovation Campus Schiedam

With the arrival of Boers & Co, the ecosystem at MICS is further expanding with a leading company in the mechatronica sector. Boers & Co will establish itself in the Atlas building, within the network of innovative companies and educational institutions on the Mechatronica Innovation Campus Schiedam (MICS). SDK Vastgoed and Boers & Co signed the agreement to this end on April 5.

Boers & Co has a rich history spanning more than 125 years. Specialized in precision technology, fine sheet metal and mechatronics, Boers & Co plays a leading role in the advanced high-tech manufacturing industry in which everything is becoming increasingly complex, intelligent and smaller.

Boers & Co will be one of the two large companies in the Atlas building to be constructed by SDK Vastgoed. Located between the van Heekstraat and the Schie in Schiedam. Atlas will be a 26,700 m² contemporary industrial building with a high-quality appearance and visibility of what is happening inside and shared campus facilities, where MICS users can meet, meet, have lunch and collaborate. After all, that is the added value of a campus: stimulating open innovation and growth through the proximity of talent and facilitating collaboration and meetings.

It will be a modern building with a BREEAM Excellent sustainability label. A 9 meter wide green boulevard will be built between the Atlas building and the Schie with the station area and the center of Schiedam. Due to the open character of Atlas, this creates a showroom for passers-by for what is happening inside Atlas.
